The Reserve Bank announced new designs for the New Zealand bank notes today.
I’ve been keeping a big secret for months – my photographs appear on all of them. I’m very proud about it, as you can imagine, to have you carrying my work in your wallets and purses. Click on the image for a closer look:
UPDATE: News article about the use of my images on the new currency bank notes, and NZ post stamp annual book cover.
Whereabouts are the powelliphanta snails? Congratulations on getting some great photos put into the hands of every New Zealander
Thanks. Yes, something a bit different. And the snails, well they’re in a few spots around NZ, but the best looking ones I think come from the beech forest in North West Nelson area. Regards, Rob
Sorry, I meant, whereabouts are the snails on the banknotes? Or are they just on the book that is launching the banknotes?
Yes, they were shot for the cover of the NZ Post stamp annual: http://blog.naturespic.com/2014/12/04/snail-back-story-to-todays-news-story.html
